Menno Haven offers two beautiful and distinct communities on over 200 acres in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. With only one mile between the communities, as a resident you have open access to all of the amenities Menno Haven offers.
The Brookview Community is located on Scotland Avenue with quick and convenient access to downtown, shopping centers, and Interstate 81. Situated on almost 160 acres of land, Brookview retains its rural feeling with lush green space along with bountiful amenities such as walking trails, park & pavilion, and a pond. A fitness center and world-class pool are located in the Northgate apartment building as well as multiple dining venues. The Brookview Health Care Center & Village Square Personal Care are also on-site to complete the continuum of care. The surrounding area includes a middle school and other residential housing uses. The winding Conococheague Creek forms the northwest border of the property.
The Chambers Pointe Community is located just a short distance from Brookview on Philadelphia Avenue. This 40 acre community is located closer to downtown Chambersburg, but also has easy access to shopping and the interstate. Friendship Lake is the centerpiece of the community with its shade garden and open green space surrounded by cottages and apartments. The Manor building provides Personal Care and the Chambers Pointe Health Care center rounds out the continuum. Wilson College abuts to the south and west, while Chambersburg Mennonite Church abuts to the north. The low-density residential neighborhood of north-end Chambersburg provides amazing charm for this area.
The choices are endless! Do what you want to do instead of what you have to do. That is Menno Haven!

How It Works
When you’re part of Menno Haven’s family, we’re here to provide individualized service and even care in the future, if and when you need it. This includes Personal Care, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, Rehabilitation, and Community Based Services. All conveniently located in our community. With a one-time entrance fee, and a monthly service fee that covers a wide variety of services and amenities, you will experience peace of mind knowing that you are home.
What makes a CCRC different than a Rental Community or Ownership Community?
CCRCs like Menno Haven provide access to Personal Care or Skilled Nursing Care. In addition, rental and ownership communities generally do not have access to a continuum of care.
Why is there an Entrance Fee?
It may seem counter-intuitive, but entrance fees can ultimately make retirement communities more affordable.
This upfront investment can actually lower your monthly expenses with a monthly service fee that covers home maintenance, some utilities and even transportation.
This gives you access to the entire continuum of care so healthy and active seniors can enter the community as part of residential living and, if necessary, move through to more advanced levels of care.
Value at the Right Price
Whether refundable or non-refundable, entrance fees are based on apartment size, location, view and other residence-specific amenities.
Entrance and monthly fees are generally payed through a combination of savings, income from investments and pension or retirement plans, and proceeds from the sale of a home. Residents do not pay property taxes on their residence.
Many people think that waiting until you need care is the best time to come. That couldn’t be further from the truth! Contrary to what many think, living in an entrance fee CCRC is affordable and allows you to experience the greatest financial benefit and life. Some seniors deemed financially qualified to live in a continuing care community still worry about depleting their assets. Menno Haven has a benevolence plan if the need arises.
Affordability: Right for your lifestyle. Right for your money.
When you look closely at the numbers, moving to a Life Plan Community (Known as a CCRC) is the wisest investment many families can possibly make. Life is unpredictable and a move can protect your assets against market fluctuations and a potential health emergency. It also protects your family from having to make difficult and expensive choices for you.
Life at Menno Haven represents a priceless value to those who have done the math and made the decision to live confidently into the future. You won’t have the burden of the cost of owning and maintaining a house. Leave the maintenance expenses, real estate taxes, and the utility costs behind. There are also substantial tax benefits for retiring in Pennsylvania!
Peace of Mind Value:
A move to Menno Haven not only covers the cost of your residence, meals, transportation, and entertainment, but it also provides your assurance of on-site care such as Personal Care, Skilled Nursing, Short-Term Rehabilitation, At Home Care, and so much more!
We stand by our Value and Mission.
