Menno Haven Opens Resident Life Center

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa –Menno Haven is excited to announce the opening of the new Resident Life Center at 300 Ridgeview, Chambersburg. An Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony took place on Tuesday, January 28, 1:00PM to 4:00PM. Over 400 residents, team members, and community partners were in attendance for this monumental event.
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony featured opening remarks made by Hugh Davis, CEO, and guest speakers, including Chairman of Menno Haven’s Board of Directors, Wayne Yeager.
The 35,000 sq. ft. building features many amenities for residents to enjoy including a 250-person Event Center for live entertainment, two dining venues, The Haven Salon and Spa, a 30-person cinema, an arts studio, tech bar, and more.
This new building is part of Menno Haven’s response to the changing demographics of retirees. “Baby Boomer expectations of the amenities available are significantly different than past generations,” says Davis. “This building is just one way we are adapting as an organization, just as we’ve done over the past 55 years in serving our community.”
Davis describes the purpose of the new Menno Haven Life Center, “The goal in our new Life Center is to support our Independent Living Residents to live confidently by ensuring that they have a place to gather for fellowship, fun, and enjoy many types of enriching activities.”
The Life Center is part of Menno Haven’s 5-year strategic plan known as Project GENESIS which includes replacing the original 1964 nursing home, Memory Care Homes, a new Rehabilitation Center, and new independent living cottages.
